In September 2019 I was unemployed, living with my parents and anxiety was getting the better of me. So, I went away. I spent five months stepping outside my comfort zone and being kind to my brain. And then the world completely shat itself. This is 157 days Before Covid.
19 BC, Singapore - I celebrated Chinese New Year in Singapore. You know, when crowds of people was a thing.
57 BC, Cliffs of Moher - I’m pretty sure this isolated black crow was an omen for the year ahead.
3 BC, Perth - On a windy day, it’s a pretty grim ferry ride out to Rottnest Island to see the Quokkas. The kid next to me was convinced he was going to die.
21 BC, Singapore - These are the Gardens by the Bay, and this picture always reminds me of one of those ‘Neighbourhoods of the Future’.
22 BC, Singapore - The Gelam Gallery is an alley filled with street art. I Googled how to get there and it was literally around the corner from my hostel.
31 BC, Budapest - Fisherman’s Bastion is at the top of a really big hill. The least these people could do is get out of my nicely framed photo.
57 BC, Galway - You don’t know warmth until you’ve sat inside a pub in Ireland.
137 BC, Toronto - This is my friend, Chevaun. We’re never in the same city at the same time, and this is proof that it happened at least once.
16 BC, Mai Chau Valley - Pretty chuffed with our lunch spot, and the beers that cost a dollar each.
72 BC, Liverpool - I took this photo after telling Nana I keep a pocket knife with me to keep safe.
